Summary: Anyone that knows me, knows that I love to draw; and the only thing I love more than drawing is a pet. I’ve made lots of drawings for myself over the years of things or concepts that I’ve felt strongly about. A few years ago, during President Obama’s first inauguration, my family and I had to make the incredibly difficult decision to put down one of the dogs in the family. It was the most horrendous thing that I have ever done in my life. It was a watershed moment in my life. The pain is so great that even as I recall that day, that moment, that room, that overwhelming sense of utter dispair, right now, as I write these very words, I still get extremely emotional about Bailey. He was like a brother to me; a true gift from the Earth.

After the pain subsided and the dull ache of loss kicked in I realized I needed to do something to remember him by. What better way to memorialize or celebrate a loved one than a drawing. I’m really happy that I opened my heart and chose to create to deal with the pain. I’ve realized that by making beauty, I’m healing myself and spreading positive energy to my clients via my drawings.

This venture of mine started out doing drawings for people who have pets that were either still alive or that have since passed on. I’ve recently expanded my drawing to include portraits of people, baby portraits, engagement portraits, wedding portraits, celebration portraits, etc. If you like my work and are interested please do not hesitate to contact me.
